Overview

Maasai Mara is a National game reserve in South Western Kenya and borders Tanzania. Here you will find preserved animals which include Kenya’s big 5 (Lions, Rhinos, Cheaters, Elephants, and Zebras), Giraffes, Hippos, wildebeest, buffalos among other wild animals. You will experience animal annual migration at this place, the best experience being that of wildebeest. The area is grassy and hilly (rolling hills) in nature and Talek and the Mara rivers cross it. The Maa community lives around the park in villages (enkangs).

 

Tour Plan

You will be picked up at the airport or your hotel latest by 6:30 am, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Masai tribe. The 700-square-mile Game Reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your camp. 12.30 pm for lunch at the campsite. There will be time to settle in before your first game drive. 2.00 pm Afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the camp before dark. Dinner at the campsite.

Today, 6.00 am Wake up call. After breakfast, 7.00 am Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. Lion, Cheetah, and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal. Morning game drives up to 11.00 am then get out of The Park. Lunch en route. End of safari in Nairobi in the afternoon.
